Work: cut in edges at ceilings, corners and trim by brush, then roll open fields in even coats. Ceilings first when they are included, then walls, so spatters do not land on finished paint. Apply the coats the colour and surface need for solid coverage.
Finish: check for thin spots, lap marks and missed edges under good light, touch up, and remove masking while the edge is still workable.
Cleanup: reinstall covers, gather drop cloths and tape, and leave the room tidy.

Finish: inspect in raking light for thin spots, touch up, and confirm doors open and close cleanly.
